Roger Habich's blog - - A site expressing Roger's views and insights as a stock car racer on NASCAR's Evergreen Speedway, as a past La Carrera (2006/07) participant, and as the crew chief for Natalie Sather in the D4D (NASCAR's Drive for Diversity) program.
Roger builds race cars and drives them more than he blogs, but there was a time when he attempted both. In the mid-90's he had 20 victories, and came
away with rookie of the year and points championship in the mini stocks. In the Super Stocks, he went on to 14 wins, two rookie of the year honors, and two track records at Evergreen Speedway. He puts his knowledge of racing into the machines he builds. Thanks to him, we have one hot Nova with a four-speed transmission and rocking 4-piston billet aluminum Outlaw calipers all around. The roll cage he designed, fabricated, and installed puts a Humvee to shame!
Gary Faules' blog - - A site recollecting Gary and Jon's "drive" through Mexico in a beautiful blue & white Shelby GT350 during the 2007 La Carrera Panamericana. Gary's love for racing, the Mexican culture, and the phenomenal endurance road rally experience shines through everyday in his continuing humorous and insightful posts.
Matts Hammarlund Racing - - A company dedicated to rebuilding vintage and historic cars and racecars. The website shows photos of the cars currently in the shop. FunksterWTF Blogspot - - A great recollection of racing in 2006, 2007, 2008 La Carrera Panamericana, the 2008 Chihuahua Express, and 2008 Pike's Peak International Hill Climb. Dover Brothers Racin - - A blog dedicated to reliving La Carrera Panamericana from the front row seat of a 1958 Volvo PV 444. George and Tom joined the race in 2006 and again (with Lula Bell) in 2008. Lots of great photos and quips showing the courage, tenacity, time, money, and humor it takes to build a historic racecar and race it across the entire breadth of Mexico.
Datsun Panamericana - Ortiz Garage - - Francisco Ortiz posts some great photos on his blog site. He has raced in La Carrera Panamericana in 2007 and 2008 in his stalwart Datsun. It really kicks ass! I like this blog because I enjoy reading posts from an individual who lives in the country where this amazing endurance race originated. It is obvious from his posts that he participates with the same enthusiasm we all share.
The Unlimited Class - - In 2007, the Unlimited Class brought the blazingly fast, turbo-charged #455 Subaru WRX piloted by Kevin Jones and co-piloted by Mark Williams to La Carrera Panamericana. The website contains multiple photos and posts about the Unlimited Class cars that participated in the 2006 and 2007 La Carrera Panamericana. It chronicles many of the participants activities after the race as well.
