The Apex

Father, mother, and son stood looking out at the indoor track, listening to the low hum of the electric motors and watching the go carts round the turns. You could see the son’s anticipation building as he waited for his buddy’s crew to show for the 16 year old's birthday party.

Suddenly, with eyes sparkling realizing the advantage the response might give him, he turns to me and asks, “Where’s the apex of the turn, Mom?”

Oh!?

Overcoming PCSD

When all is said and done and the wrecks tallied and bills paid, there is sleep deprivation to recover from and chest tightening moments of “if only” to expunge. 

Negative emotions eventually diminish and are filed away into life’s lessons. The positive experiences tend to commandeer the brain’s memory cells.

The good, the bad, the ugly?

All of it? It doesn’t matter!

Because the recollections that remain once the months have transpired into years will be cause for laughter. And…,according to Victor Borge...,

Laughter is the closest distance between two people.
